Natural England (NE) will collaborate with and provide technical and evidential support to WaterLANDS. Specifically, NE will provide knowledge of peatland restoration as part of the Yorkshire iCASP Action Site. At the Action Site, NE will apply their expertise to engage communities and align governance processes. The insights gained will contribute to the co-creation of best practices and NE will play a role in communicating the results to the relevant stakeholders. At the Yorkshire iCASP Action Site, NE will contribute to on-the-ground restoration in a managerial role, aligning with the goals of the England Peat Strategy led by Defra and the ecological and economic expertise held by the University of Leeds.
